PROGRAMS
All art eduction programs are designed to give the participants the skills to succeed in education and life. Our goal is to lay a solid foundation for all participants by devloping;
- Fluidity and completion with a wide range of media
- The creaive and critical thinking skills nesseccary to make informed life choices
- Devlop communication skills through a vairiety of methods, including the Visual, Writing, Performance and Commnity Arts
- Discover the joys and rewards of community service, by cleannig three city lots each week
- Work with college mentor/educators, to plant the seed of and expose the children to college.
- To work on Community Art Projects with youth with a common goal. The Youth become positive role models.
- Participate in Art Shows at colleges, to plant the seed of and expose the children to college.
Our children are exposed to over thirty types of Arts and Media:
- 2D-Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Photo, Weaving, Collage, Cartooning, etc.
- 3D- a variety of Sculpture and Ceramics Techniques, Puppets, Mosaics, Parade Floats, Costume Design, etc.
- Performance: Music, Parades, Video. Dance
- Writing: Poetry, Stories, Comics, Music Composition, Songs and Video
